Increasing self-consumption and optimizing factory production costs
Since its establishment in Morocco in 1975, Ingelec has become a leader in the field of low-voltage equipment, extending its influence not only throughout Morocco but also across West Africa. Ingelec is distinguished by its specialization in designing and manufacturing a wide range of electrical products, including switches, outlets, power strips, boxes and enclosures, as well as molding and skirting boards. These products, crafted with rigorous attention to safety and performance standards, reflect the group’s expertise and commitment to providing reliable and innovative electrical solutions.
Ingelec’s factory, located in Casablanca, has adopted a proactive approach to increase its energy self-consumption and optimize production costs. In this context, it has implemented a solar installation aimed at improving its energy efficiency. This initiative not only reduces the factory’s environmental impact by lowering its carbon footprint but also enhances its market competitiveness by reducing operational costs.
Huawei Fusionsolar smart inverters
The project involves setting up a photovoltaic power plant with a total capacity of 1.2 MW. This installation includes over 1800 solar panels of 650 W each, as well as 11 Huawei SUN2000-100KTL inverters from the Fusionsolar range.

The Huawei smart inverters were chosen for this project due to their numerous advantages :
- High reliability : They offer stable and consistent performance, even under challenging conditions, ensuring continuous and efficient solar energy production, which maximizes return on investment and minimizes interruptions.
- Technological benefits : Equipped with multi-MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) systems, they optimize energy production by adjusting the performance of each solar panel individually, even with uneven sunlight.
- Advanced monitoring : The SmartLogger allows real-time monitoring and management of the solar system via mobile apps and the Fusionsolar platform, facilitating problem detection and operational optimization.
- Advanced communication technology : They incorporate technologies such as Wi-Fi and smart protocols, facilitating integration with other devices and home automation systems.
- Simplified installation and commissioning : Their design enables quick installation with plug-and-play connections and intuitive interfaces, reducing installation time and costs.
- Advanced safety features : They include protections against surges, short circuits, and overloads, ensuring safe and reliable use.
- User-friendly interface : The management platform and mobile apps are intuitive, allowing for easy navigation and simplified solar system management.
- Self-diagnosis and forecasting : Self-diagnostic capabilities detect anomalies and forecast maintenance needs, helping to avoid failures and maintain optimal performance.
A strategic alliance with Green Power and Huawei FusionSolar
To successfully carry out this project, Solar Power partnered with Green Power, due to their shared commitment to providing high-quality solutions. This collaboration is based on a shared vision and a demand for excellence, in which Green Power stands out.
Green Power quickly emerged as the ideal choice due to several key factors: Huawei FusionSolar’s innovative solutions, technical and commercial support, pre-sales training, after-sales service, among others.

“The collaboration with Green Power was crucial in choosing Huawei, partly because of their presence in Morocco and also due to their effective support in commercial, technical, and after-sales aspects. For us, it was essential to work with a leading supplier present in Morocco to ensure the best service quality for our clients,” comments Reda EL ALJ, Managing Partner of Solar Power.
Covering nearly 90% of the factory’s energy needs
After several months of operation, Ingelec’s photovoltaic installation has proven its effectiveness by covering nearly 90% of the factory’s daily energy consumption. This result demonstrates the remarkable performance of this solar installation, which significantly meets the company’s energy needs.
This high coverage not only reflects the economic benefits of reduced energy costs but also Ingelec’s commitment to environmental sustainability. By using a renewable energy source, the factory reduces its carbon footprint and contributes to environmental protection.
Buoyed by this success, the group plans to expand the project to its other manufacturing sites in the coming years.

Amal ZEKRI, Marketing Director of the Ingelec Group, expresses her satisfaction: “After a few months of operating this photovoltaic installation, we have seen that it allows us to cover almost 90% of our daily energy consumption, which is very satisfactory. Following this result and the positive assessment, we plan to extend the project to our other manufacturing sites by 2028.”
