
The Huawei Smart String ESS features a modular design, comprising the Battery Cabin, Smart Rack Controller Cabin, and Control Unit Cabin. It integrates lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and racks with advanced functionalities, including a Battery Management System (BMS), heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, lighting, fire detection and automatic fire extinguishing system, security and emergency systems. Additionally, it incorporates surge protection devices (SPDs), grounding protection mechanisms, and grounding fault detection to ensure safety, reliability, and efficient operation.
Huawei offers four standard models of Smart String ESSs, all housed in 20-foot containers: LUNA2000-2.0MWH-1H1 (1-hour power backup, C-rating of 1), LUNA2000-2.0MWH-2H1 (2-hour power backup, C-rating of 0.5), LUNA2000-2.0MWH-4H1 (4-hour power backup, C-rating of 0.25), and LUNA2000-1.0MWH-1H1 (1-hour power backup, C-rating of 1, providing up to 1MW for 1MWh).
